The Charter of the Foundation calls for an Advisory Council of academics and other professionals who enjoy high reputation in the fields of intercultural education and international youth exchanges. Their role is to assist the Board of Directors in setting up the programme of the Foundation. They are appointed by the Board for a period of five years. The current composition of the Advisory Council is the following:
Milton Bennett – Director of the Intercultural Development Research Institute and of the Intercultural Communication Institute
Vishakha Desai – President of the Asia Society in New York
Francesca Gobbo – Professor of Intercultural Education and of Anthropology of Education at the University of Turin
Domenico Lenarduzzi – Honorary Director General for education, training, culture and youth, European Commission in Brussels
Hillel Levine - Professor of Sociology and Religion at Boston University; President of the International Center for Conciliation
Susanna Mantovani – Pedagogy Professor at the University of Milan Bicocca
Antonino Papisca – Director of Interdepartmental Centre on Human Rights and the Rights of Peoples, University of Padua
Gustavo Zagrebelsky - President emeritus of the Italian Constitutional Court
