Researches

Since its establishment in 2007 the Intercultura Foundation has sponsored many researches conducted in cooperation with Italian and European Universities. Some examples:

 

  • The perception of “otherness” among secondary school students in Italy, conducted by the Universities of Bari, Milano, Padova, Siena and Verona.

  • The perception of China by Italian adolescents, conducted by Marianella Sclavi (Politecnico di Milano);

  • The role of teachers in promoting international youth exchanges and internationalisation of the Italian schools, condected by SICESE/University of Rome Tor Vergata;

  • The evaluation of the competencies after a school year abroad, conducted by SICESE/University of Rome Tor Vergata;

  • The "success" of foreign exchange students in the Italian secondary schools, conducted by the Universities of Bari and Milan;

  • Kaleidoscope Project, a research on the impact of the AFS experience on the participants to the year programme, conducted by Nicolas Geeraert (University of ESSEX);

  • The narration of the AFS experience, conducted by Bachisio Bandinu (University of Cagliari);

  • What secondary school I would like for Italy, based on conversations with AFS returnees attending the second year of university, conducted by the University of Milan Bicocca.
